About Andrew Morehead

Andrew brings a unique background to GS1 US as a Global Standards Manager. For 6 years, he specialized in Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) technology solutions for optimizing supply chain rooted in the healthcare industry across the United States. During the onset of the 2020 pandemic, he witnessed first-hand the breakdown in efficiency within healthcare supply chains due to lack of identification and visibility. This solidified his understanding of the critical role data and technology play in patient safety and in clinical/surgical supply chains to enhance operational efficiency. For over 3 years now with GS1 US, he has further developed his expertise in AIDC technologies through collaborative work that drives interoperability, traceability and transparency worldwide in a multitude of industries. He has a passion for accelerating industry forward to provide efficiencies through extensible data unlocking new capabilities.

David McCloskey is Founder and President of Authentic Labs and Founder and Lead Tinkerer for Relevant Play, the toy company that’s best known for delivering Kinetic Sand (apologies for the mess!) and Mad Mattr (way better, you need some!).
